It is crazy how looking at a photo can give you a sense of calm and bring you back to the crashing of the waves, sun shining down on your face and the sand between your toes. The blues are so blue in New Zealand, I look forward to a long Waiheke summer next time round. From top to bottom: my favourite beach in the world - Palm Beach, Good One cafe in Ponsonby, Fred's cafe and finally me in a giant tree.

It is so very cold today in Melbourne which reminded me of these recent cold times, but very good times in Japan. We would warm our hands with green tea from the vending machines, very comforting indeed. The first shot is in Nara with the beautiful deer, the view from our homestay in Osaka, a duvet hung in the street in Osaka, my beautiful sister wrapped in lots of warmth (Kyoto).

The wood in Japan is beautiful everywhere and especially in Kyoto. This country is so stunning it makes it hard to believe I was there. The Japanese appreciation and love of beauty and aesthetics is hard not to see in every detail, down to the placement of these shoes. The last three shots were taken at Tofukuji, a beautiful Temple we visited.
